Pre-sale tickets for Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds UK and Ireland tour sold out this morning within minutes. Fans who weren't lucky enough to get tickets will be able to get theirs when the remaining go on general sale this Friday at 9am here at www.NoelGallagher.com

Noel Gallagher picked up the 'Icon Award' at this year's Q Awards which took place in London today.

The award bookends a triumphant weekend for Noel with Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' debut album entering the charts at number one in the UK, the band kicked off their first ever tour with a spectacular gig at Dublin's Olympia Theatre and Man City beating Man Utd 6-1 at 'the Death Star'.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds also announced a new UK / Ireland tour beginning in February 2012 and Noel also began his award-winning tour diary 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere: Return Of The Dread-I' again which can be read exclusively here at NoelGallagher.com.

NoelGallagher.com are delighted to announce the eponymous debut album from Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds has entered the UK album charts at number one. The Sour Mash Records' release is only the third album this year to hit number one with sales in excess of 100,000.

This is Noel's ninth number one album, having achieved eight previously with Oasis.

Also announced over the weekend is that Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will be touring the UK & Ireland in February and March of next year, with tickets going on sale this Thursday 27th October @ 9am for dates in Belfast and Dublin and Friday 28th October @ 9am for dates in Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, London and Birmingham.
